Home Learning

Home Learning gives children the opportunity to learn to:

  • Work independently
  • Test their own understanding
  • Organise their work
  • Keep to deadlines.

All students will have home learning set on a regular basis. Your child will benefit from having a quiet area at home where they can do their home learning which could also be used as an area to read for pleasure. Many subjects use the excellent Seneca online platform to set home learning and we would like to encourage all parents and carers to create a Seneca parent account. This connects to your child's Seneca account where you can check in on their recent activity, study time and preview any assignments teachers have set.  Home Learning will also be set via Google Classroom which students can access via their school address. Parents will be invited to accept an invitation to receive guardian summaries. Guardian summaries are emails from Google summarising all the work your child has been set. We have written a guide to use Google Guardian Summaries below:
