Ashton Park School’s Year 11 students have opened their examination result envelopes with a sense
of pride, excitement and fulfilment! Our students have worked hard with the school and
experienced success in the core subjects where they were faced with new and more challenging
examinations and grading criteria.
Maths and English saw improvements on the previous year’s results with Maths significantly so and
both subjects returned students achieving the government’s new “super-grade” of 9. This puts our
top students in line with the very best in the country.
There have been some fabulous individual success stories with Kaya, achieving 9 in both English
Language and Literature, 7 in Maths in addition to 3A*, 3A. Lila, returned a full house of very top
grades across the board with 9 in Maths, 8 in English, 6 A*. Tom, was awarded 9 in Maths and his
remaining subjects equivalent to A* and A. Milo, also excelled with a 9 in Maths.
We are proud of the achievements of all of our students and celebrate their successes in the breadth
of examinations taken which recognises their individual talents, abilities and backgrounds. Adam,
one of our English as an Additional Language and SEN students moves onto our sixth form having
accomplished 5 GCSEs including English and Maths.
We extend our best wishes and good luck for the future as our Year 11 cohort move forward into the
next stage of their journey. Well done to all!
