Curriculum – Key Stage 3 – Performing Arts

We want the Performing Arts to be an experience accessible to all pupils. Every child should be able to enjoy music and the theatre and
have the chance to develop the love of performing.

Not only are we passionate about our subjects we also want to encourage our pupils to go out of their comfort zones with learning and
experiences to discover new things about themselves and develop the skills they can use to have an enriching life.

In Year 7 Performing Arts is taught as a combination of Drama and Music. In Year 8 and Year 9 these are taught as separate subjects.

Links below will take you to knowledge organisers showing the content for each of these units. These are being developed over the period 2019 to 2021.
