Curriculum – Key Stage 3 – ART

Art as a subject is vast and there are many disciplines to be found within that. It is also a subject which can be both practical and theoretical. We aim to give students a broad experience across a wide range of media and equipment, giving historical and contemporary context around that. Our hope is that students will be able to master the basic techniques and to develop a visual literacy, but most of all we would like them to enjoy the subject and develop as a young artist before opting for one of our popular GCSE courses.
