Launch Event – A Night with Luke Jerram – Museum of the Moon

Ashton Park has a proud tradition of putting on spectacular productions and promoting the performing arts. As has been previously publicised Ashton Park is taking advantage of the generosity of internationally renowned artist and Year 7 parent Luke Jerram to raise much-needed funds to replace sound and lighting equipment for the main hall. Without the additional funds, we raise from events like this we would find it difficult to provide the extra-curricular opportunities we feel our pupils benefit from.

On Thursday 5th July we will be launching our series of Moon events with our grand opening night. £25 will get you a ticket to the exclusive event where you will get to hear from the artist himself and enjoy a range of other benefits.

  • The evening will start with complimentary drinks and welcome in the school 6th Form block.
  • On to the school Art and photography exhibition where we will be showcasing the exceptional talents of our students and the staff who teach them.
  • Hear Luke talk about the inspiration behind his work and enjoy immersing yourself in the magic of the moon and the specially commissioned soundtrack.
  • Move on to a finger buffet and relax whilst enjoying the sounds of the well-known local actor and singer Joel Riviere who will be providing entertainment as part of the ‘Dam Busters’. Joel is an ex-pupil of Ashton park and his love of the stage took off after appearing in a school production of Oliver. Joel went on to train at Bristol Old Vic and continues to work on national and local projects in theatre, TV, and film. Joel jumped at the chance ‘to give something back’ and will entertain with his soulful blues repertoire.

You can book your tickets here and find out more about the event at out Moon site.
