Ashton Park Sixth Form students are today celebrating their well-earned results. There were many notable successes, The Arts enjoyed Photography returning 1 A*, 3 A’s 11 B grades and 1 C which, represented the whole cohort, and Fine Art with 2 B’s and a C. Sociology returned an A, 2 B’s and 6 C’s while Psychology gained 1 A and 6 C’s. The Sciences also enjoyed ‘success with Biology and Chemistry achieving 4 B’s and 1 B and a C respectively. There were many individual success: Lola earned A Geography, A Psychology, B Biology; Georgia A Sociology, B Law, B Photography.
As our partnership with Bristol City Robins Foundation continues to thrive; the Vocational results were outstanding, particularly in Sport with 2 thirds of the cohort gaining Distinctions (A* to A grade equivalent). Lauren and Grace Phillips gained triple Distinction Stars, Caitlyn Rice also earned a triple Distinction Star, Ollie Mesquita, Joe Eustace, Conor Mckeigue joined them with triple Distinction Star. Year 12 and 13 all achieved pass and above in the new specification. There was a similar story in IT with 2 thirds also gaining Distinctions.
The vast majority of our students, over 84%, gained their UCAS places with confirmed places on courses ranging from Nursing, Criminology, Midwifery, Sport and Business Management and Coaching. They go to universities such as Loughborough, Bath, Essex, Plymouth, Cardiff Met and Liverpool.
