The School of Food visit Year 10

The School of Food is a new vocational programme for chefs here in the South West and is based at Ashton Gate. Brian Howe and his team came in for a lesson with our year 10 Food Preparation and Nutrition GCSE group last week. They gave the pupils an overview on what is being offered at the School of Food and then everyone got stuck in making an amazing vegetarian dish of pan-fried celeriac steaks served with poached asparagus and a divine creamy carrot puree. Our pupils enjoyed the session and made quite an impression.
The School of Food will be making return visits soon, can’t wait to see what the pupils produce next time.
