Pupils have been engaged in some varied and exciting experiences throughout the year, which we hope has enabled them to build confidence in their maths and enable them to begin to consider options for their futures.
As part of the programme, pupils visited The Cheltenham Science Festival with 3 other Bristol schools. The Discovery Zone provided hands-on STEM activities including Robotics and Laser Lights. They also attended an interactive talk celebrating 150 years of Dmitri Mendeleev’s periodic table. The final session of the day involved pupils using maths to produce a paper Dodecahedron that was constructed using 12 pentagons.
